Small and quaint, the San Diego Model Railroad Museum is a great place for train enthusiasts and kids. It’s one of the world’s largest indoor model railroad displays and the only accredited model railroad museum in North America. They have five operating train layout exhibits: Tehachapi Pass, San Diego and Arizona Eastern, Pacific Desert Lines, Cabrillo Southwestern and Toy Train Gallery (which is an interactive exhibit). Along with these model railroad trains, the Museum has four visual displays: where visitors can learn the history of these different aspects of trains: Railroad Women, Display Cases, Southern Pacific Semaphore and a Museum Trolley.
