Detailed Description:

If you like sports, the San Diego Hall of Champions is the place to go. The Museum is the largest multi-sport museum in the US and once visitors walk in, there’s no doubt that this is true. The place is giant. Located in Balboa Park, the space holds exhibits on great athletes across the more popular sports such as baseball and basketball and the lesser known sports such as sailing and motor sports .

It was started in 1959 with the goal of improving the lives of San Diegans through sports. The way it achieves this is through involvement in youth sports throughout the County. It also uses much of its space to honor local San Diego sports accomplishments. Tony Gwynn and Bill Walton are from here after all.
