Here’s your San Diego weekend guide. Enjoy these 10 activities to make your weekend awesome!

  1. Feast your eyes on pretty things at the Old Town Art & Craft Festival all weekend. More than 100 artists will be in attendance along with food, activities and more.
  2. Exhibits. Opening this weekend: Lead Sleds at San Diego Automotive Museum, Art Glass Association of Southern California at Spanish Village Art Center, and Gauguin to Warhol at San Diego Museum of Art. Closing this weekend: El Lissitzky: Futurist Portraits at Timken Museum.
  3. Pick some apples at the Julian Apple Days Festival all weekend. Plus pie, there is the pie to feast on too!
  4. Check out some cuties at the Grand Woofstock Pet Festival on Saturday. The third annual Escondido Festival will have contests, vendors, activities and lots of cutie pies. Isn’t the logo above adorable?
  5. Drink up at the La Mesa Oktoberfest all weekend. Enjoy drinks, food, activities, entertainment and over 200 vendors.
  6. Enjoy the first weekend of October with the Fall South Park Walkabout on Saturday night. Hopefully there’ll be a crispness in the air!
  7. Walk around the Filipino American Arts & Culture Festival on Saturday. There’s lots going on including performances, activities, food, arts and more.
  8. Scare yourself silly at Belmont Park’s Boomont Park starting now. We love that the Park transforms into Halloween central every weekend in October, with trick-or-treating, a haunted house, activities, pumpkin patch, zombie laser tag and much much more!
  9. Get a taste of Germany as the House of Germany hosts the Lawn Program in Balboa Park on Sunday. Food, activities and entertainment are on the agenda.
  10. Learn a thing or two at the Good Food Community Fair at the San Diego Central Library. The free Sunday event includes cooking demos, speakers, food and more from Slow Food Urban San Diego.
