Here are 10 fun things to do in San Diego this weekend (August 2-3, 2014):

  1. Feel summery at the Ramona County Fair all weekend. Rides, vendors, food and fun at this annual fair in Ramona.
  2. Exhibits. Opening this weekend: Tracings at Visions Art Museum, Hanging Garden of California at Visions Art Museum, 30 Quilts for 30 Years at Visions Art Museum, and 23rd Annual Juried Exhibition at La Jolla Athenaeum. Closing this weekend: Moving Moment at Japanese Friendship Garden, DNA of Creativity at Oceanside Museum of Art, Rank n’ File at Oceanside Museum of Art, and Photography of the f/45 Group at Spanish Village Art Center.
  3. Click your heels for Oz Con International all weekend. Coronado transforms with special activities, performances, contests and parties all centered around the wonder of Oz.
  4. Sample some wine at the Rancho Bernardo Tastings Festival on Saturday. Bernardo Winery hosts this fun event with plenty of tasting options and a car show too.
  5. Pick up some beads at the Bead Bazaar. Shopping, demos and more will be happening at the Scottish Rite Center all weekend.
  6. Admire some players at the Chargers FanFest on Saturday. Plus, get autographs, eat some hotdogs and enjoy some plays.
  7. Celebrate community at the South Bayfront Powwow all weekend. Enjoy the lineup of performances with the family.
  8. Walk for a cause at the San Diego Blood Bank 5K Walk/Run on Sunday. The fun run takes place at the Embarcadero and will include lots of great activities.
  9. Get stuck with a lemon at the Chula Vista Lemon Festival on Sunday. Seriously though-eat and drink some lemons and celebrate them too!
  10. Show some love to the vessel and sea at the Sea Chantey Festival on Sunday. Star of India is the place for this family-friendly event.
