How many people have biked up Mount Soledad? I have thanks to San Diego Fly Rides!
I’ve always loved riding bikes but let’s face it, I live in a hilly area and it’s a pain to try to squeeze a bike in a car, so I don’t do it often. When I heard of a cool tour of San Diego on electric bikes, I was all over it! Step in San Diego Fly Rides.
The amazing owners of SD Fly Rides recommended their popular tour of La Jolla: the SoCal Riviera Tour. Deal!
The SoCal Riviera Tour around La Jolla was so much fun. It was great learning things about San Diego and La Jolla I didn’t even know (and that’s saying a lot!). Our group zoomed through streets and walking paths I had never been on and we even climbed Mount Soledad on bike! Can you believe that? I never thought I’d say that (when I see cyclists climbing hills, I silently vow never to ever do it myself). There were plenty of photo opps along the way and still a workout if you desire it.
We recommend this tour for locals and visitors alike! And for all you locals who do it: be prepared to either buy an electric bike or bust out your bike to go riding. I’m getting my bike tuned up and I’m in the mood to do a century now.
