10 Things To Do This Weekend in San Diego (3/15-3/16)

Here are 10 fun things to do in San Diego this weekend (March 15 and 16, 2014):

  1. Bring the kids to the San Diego Festival of Science and Engineering. It starts today and brings a lot of great activities to Balboa Park, Petco Park and beyond.
  2. Exhibits. Opening this weekend: Alfredo Jaar: Muxima at San Diego Museum of Art. Closing this weekend: Mike Berg: Recent Textiles at MCASD: Downtown, World of Watercolor at Fallbrook Art Center and Three Way Harmony at Fallbrook Art Center.
  3. Be part of the Irish congress at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival on Saturday. Balboa Park is the spot and kilts are the attire. Well, only a kilt if you’re Irish…
  4. Check out some flicks at the 21st Annual Latino Film Festival all weekend. So many films and so little time so get a-moving!
  5. Pick up some stones at the Gem Faire: Del Mar all weekend. The Del Mar Fairgrounds hosts over 70 exhibitors with demos and more.
  6. Party at the big St. Patty’s Day shindig in the Gaslamp on Saturday night. To be specific, head out for shamROCK 2014!
  7. Dance to some mariachi bands at the Mariachi Festival and Competition. We can’t wait to see who wins best in show in National City on Saturday.
  8. Get outdoors for the Herb Festival at the San Diego Botanic Garden. There’s a lot going on at the Garden all weekend including sales, speakers and activities.
  9. Take your teens to The Live Well Project on Saturday at the San Diego Hall of Champions. We can’t tell you how much we love love love the idea for this empowering day for teen girls.
  10. Head to the San Diego Convention Center for the IHRSA 2014 all weekend long. If health and fitness is your name, this convention is your game.
