17 Exhibits to See in November in San Diego

Arriving from the End at the Japanese Friendship Garden

The weather’s starting to get a little cooler and so are the exhibits. November brings some cool exhibit openings in San Diego and some closings too. Here are the 17 exhibits to see in November in San Diego:

  1. Arriving from the End, Japanese Friendship Garden. See the bright and colorful works of Bruno Tanonis, who is a local San Diegan. Opened November 1st.
  2. Nature Improved: San Diego Artists Interpret Our Landscape, Oceanside Museum of Art. OMA and the San Diego History Center partner for this cool exhibit featuring the best local artwork.
  3. C is for…, Visions Art Museum. See two multi-media artists, whose names begin with the letter C, create works of art inspired by words that begin with the letter C. Opened November 1st.
  4. Noah Doely: By the Light, San Diego Museum of Art. Check out a photographer who uses light (or the lack of it) to explore environments. Opened November 2nd.
  5. Melora Kuhn, Lux Art Institute. This exhibit, which features the paintings, sculptures and installations of Kuhn, opens November 7th.┬áVisit Melora Kuhn while she’s in studio all month.
  6. Garden of the Imagination 2, Spanish Village Art Center. The free Gallery 21 will have an exhibit featuring two artists who specialize in sculpture and functional art. It runs November 8th thru 17th.
  7. Fallbrook Art Association’s Judged Show, Fallbrook Art Center. See some of the best works from artists in the region. Opens November 8th.
  8. Contemporary Landscape Photography: An International Perspective, Oceanside Museum of Art. If you couldn’t have guessed it, this exhibit features contemporary landscape photography. Opens November 9th
  9. My City, Youth City: 8th Annual Youth Exhibition, Museum of Photographic Art. This cool youth art exhibit just opened in October. Go see it for a wide variety of photos from some of the most promising young photographers in the area. Opened in October.
  10. Faiya Fredman: Domestic Collection Selections, La Jolla Athenaeum. Artist Faiya Fredman looks into her own surroundings to produce this interesting exhibit. Opens November 9th.
  11. Mammoths and Mastodons: Titans of the Ice Age, San Diego Natural History Museum. Learn about these huge animals of the Ice Age (and have some fun while doing it!). Closes November 11th.
  12. Boundless Horizons, MiraCosta Kruglak Art Gallery. See an international group of artists and their land art. Opens November 12th.
  13. Off the Beaten Path II, Mission Trails Regional Park. The amazing talents in the Paradise Textile Artists group are showcasing their work right now. See it before it closes on the 15th.
  14. Urban Entropy: James Enos, Oceanside Museum of Art. Go to this exhibit to see a wide range of works by a man who wears many different hats. Opens November 16th.
  15. Spectra, SDSU Downtown Gallery. Follow 10 artists as they explore color. Closes November 25th.
  16. Views of Our Region, Bonita Museum and Cultural Center. This exhibit features local youth artists and their works. Closes November 30th.
  17. Circus Rails: Life on a Circus Train, San Diego Model Railroad Museum. Circus theme plus the San Diego Model Railroad Museum equal awesome! The exhibit closes November 22nd.

    That was such a lovely, truly lovely, thing for them to do, especially given their citmacsrunces. They’re very special humans, Gracie, just as Alex was so special, and always will be in spirit.

    these days the people most likely to hijack, or interfere with airplane travel with intent to crash the plane are arab muslims. Youre a complete idiot if you think you should ignore that. If I can identify someone as being from a country whose religious makeup is like 90 percent muslim on the same flight as i’m on, yeah i’m gonna watch em.
