Here are 10 fun things to do in San Diego this weekend (October 12 and 13, 2013):

  1. Celebrate Fall with the OB Oktoberfest. Drink, eat, drink, listen to music, drink, enter contests…did we say drink? Today and tomorrow in Ocean Beach.
  2. Exhibits. Opening this weekend: Feast at The New Children’s Museum. Closing this weekend: West Coast Drawing at Bonita Museum and Cultural Center, 30x: Three Decades at Museum of Photographic Arts, Matices de las Americas 2013 at Centro Cultural de la Raza and The Very Large Array at Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego: Downtown.
  3. Listen to some great musical acts at the Golden Hill Street Fair on Sunday. And eat, drink and learn cool history tidbits about Golden Hill.
  4. Be a guido at the Little Italy FESTA on Sunday. This event has everything: stickball competition, cooking demos, chalk art, cars, bocce ball…love it!
  5. Party in San Marcos at the Horse Heritage Festival. The Sunday event includes a haunted house, pumpkin patch, crafts, demos, pony rides and food.
  6. Check out some art at the La Jolla Art and Wine Festival all weekend. Art, artists, activities, performances and wine will be on the itinerary.
  7. Pick out your pumpkin at the Pumpkin Palooza at Suzie’s Farm. The Palooza is happening on Saturday and it’s sure to be fun.
  8. See some amazing cars at the 5th Annual Fifth Avenue Auto Showcase on Sunday. In fact, see over 150 of them!
  9. Get scared at Boomont Park all weekend. Every weekend in October, Belmont Park transforms into Halloween headquarters with a haunted house, zombie laser tag, trick-or-treating and more.
  10. Dance along at the International Cottage’s Lawn Program on Sunday. This week, the House of Spain hosts with food, dancing and music.
