San Diego is beautiful–we all know that.  But just like anything, some places in the city are more beautiful than others.  Where would you rather get the shot that defines you on Instagram?  Would you rather it be a pretty shot of the water?  Or a gorgeous shot of the cliffs with the sunset cascading in 50 different colors throughout the sky?  We want you to get those grade A shots!  Here are 21 places in San Diego for amazing photos:

  1. Cabrillo Bridge.  See the California Tower and Downtown San Diego from here.
  2. Coronado Central Beach.  Hotel Del Coronado in the background and some crashing waves while you’re at it
  3. Point Loma Lighthouse and Cemetery.  Beautiful views of San Diego.
  4. Botanical Building and Reflection Pool.  In Balboa Park, it’s one of the most photographed buildings in San Diego.
  5. Silver Strand Bikeway.  Great for photos and exercise!
  6. Grape Street Dog Park.  Less known but great place to relax and take photos.
  7. Top of the Hyatt Hotel near Seaport Village.  Have a drink too.
  8. Cowles Mountain.  Once you complete the hike, you get 360* views of San Diego and San Diego County.
  9. Sunset Cliffs.  Best place to be at sunset!
  10. Old Globe Plaza.  Up close views of the California Tower.
  11. Centennial Park and Ferry Landing in Coronado.  The above photo is from here.
  12. Harbor Island.  One of the best full skyline views of San Diego.
  13. Behind the San Diego Air and Space Museum.  There are some great shots of Downtown from the back of here.
  14. Borrego Palm Canyon Trail in Anza-Borrego Springs Desert Park.  Now is the time for the flowers in the desert!
  15. Top of the Seaworld Needle.  Great views of the surroundings.
  16. Torrey Pines State Reserve.  Beautiful cliffs and water shots.
  17. Alcazar Garden.  In Balboa Park.  For flowers and the California Tower.
  18. Gayle L. McCandliss Park.  This Park in Chula Vista is great for watching the sunset with Downtown, the Pacific Ocean, Coronado and Mexico in the distance.
  19. Mission Bay Park.  Beautiful beautiful beautiful!
  20. Petco Park.  Games start soon–make sure to get some shots of the Western Metal Building and Downtown with the ballpark in the foreground.
